Why you’ll love it

Carve under the Matterhorn. Long groomers, longer lunches, peak after peak. A GoSmart specialist tailors the route, the stays, and the pace to you.

Why it works

You ski in the shadow of the Matterhorn all day. It is not a distant postcard, but right over your shoulder on half the runs, and it never stops being startling.

Worth knowing

Zermatt is best for confident intermediates. The blues are long and cruisy, but true-beginner terrain is limited because the resort sits high. Verbier is steeper and more freeride.
You can ski into Cervinia, Italy for lunch on the same lift ticket. Carry an ID or passport anyway. Border checks are rare, but you are skiing between two countries.
Watch the last lifts carefully. Missing the return can mean an expensive trip back around the mountain.
Zermatt is car-free. Park in Tasch and take the shuttle train the last few minutes, and pack for hauling bags on and off a train.
Late February into March usually gives the best mix of daylight, snow, and sun on the terraces.
