Every year our GoSmart team gets together to share ideas, plan what's next, and spend time together outside of Zoom calls. This year we chose Royal Caribbean's Utopia of the Seas, and it reminded me why cruises work so well for company retreats.

Everyone can participate as much or as little as they want. Team meetings in the morning, waterslides in the afternoon, dinner together at night. If someone wants to turn it into a family vacation, they can simply bring the family along.

It made me wonder why more companies don't do this. Instead of flying everyone to a hotel where the biggest event is dinner, your meeting becomes part of an experience people actually look forward to.
