A weekend cruise to the Bahamas is one of my favorite trips. It’s a mini-vacation, a getaway, a time to reconnect with a loved one, and sometimes just a little R&R from the stresses of life. 

One of my favorite stops is Perfect Day CocoCay on Royal Caribbean. Leaving from Mami, Fort Lauderdale or Port Canaveral, this 3-night weekend cruise checked all the boxes. 

As many times as I’ve been to Perfect Day CocoCay. I always stop in at the Coco Beach Club. With a private beach, private infinity pool, and an amazing lunch of surf & turf, I like to imagine this is my own little piece of paradise.

It’s a rainy day in Perfect Day CocoCay. I’m still looking forward to my private oasis at Coco Beach Club but I unexpectedly found myself talking to the crew. I caught up with my favorite server in the restaurant, and although I haven’t seen him in almost 8 months, he still remembers my favorite drink, how I like my steak, de-shelled my lobster, and brings me an extra side of grilled shrimp. A random bar server who I met on the beach shared with me a little bit about the Bahamas, his life on this island, and how he gets back home to Nassau after his 2 month contract is up. 

Every destination has a story. Today was really about the people. Real people who can create a lasting impression on your experience. 

I’ll be back in December. And this time I’m looking forward to connecting with my new found friends!
